The long wait for Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) is finally over as Microsoft has announced the availability of a beta of the Service Pack 1 for Windows 7. Step1: The Service Pack is available in both 32 bit editions and 64 bit editions. You can start the Service Pack 1 (SP1) download process by going to this link: https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/pd/W7SP1/enus/.

Step2: When you are on it, you will be asked your profession. Simply select "Developer" from the dropdown menu even if you are not one as this public beta is only for Developers and IT Professionals. Step 3: For getting these updates installed you need to first download and install a Windows Update SignUP tool which is basically a license to the fact that you are installing a pre-release which you have to accept.

Step 4: Next you have to launch your Windows Update manager in order download the install the Service Pack 1 for Windows 7.
